One of Ignite Arts Academy's most popular classes is our Cambridge Jazz Dance classes! And with good reason...
Jazz has gained popularity due to television shows, movies, music videos, and commercials. With flowing movements similar to ballet, jazz dancers combine sharp turns, large leaps, and quick footwork in a show of flexibility and grace. Jazz classes involve flexibility training, isolations, and fun upbeat choreography.
Jazz class levels are professionally designed to learn the components, techniques, and terminology of jazz dance. In a jazz class, dancers are encouraged to add their own personalities to make each step unique and fun. All work is progressive and designed to develop coordination, strength, agility, and style.
Our renewed jazz classes are based on Jazz Addict Syllabus by APDA.

JAZZ PRIMARY 1 (recommended age 5 years): Monday 3.30 - 4.00 pm
JAZZ PRIMARY 2 (recommended age 6 years): Monday 4.00 - 4.30 pm
JAZZ JUNIOR ONE (recommended ages 7 years): Tuesday 3.30 - 4.15 pm
JAZZ JUNIOR THREE (recommended age 8 - 9 years): Tuesday 4.15 - 5.00 pm & Saturday 11.00 - 11.45 am
JAZZ ELEMENTARY (recommended ages 10 years): Tuesday 5.00 – 6.00 pm
JAZZ INTERMEDIATE (recommended age 11 - 13 years): Tuesday 6:00 - 7:00 pm
JAZZ ADVANCED (recommended age 14+ years): Tuesday 7.00 - 8.15 pm
