Cambridge Musical Theatre Classes

Want to become a triple threat? Musical Theatre combines three main performance disciplines: acting, singing and dancing. 

Ignite Cambridge Musical Theatre Classes dive into each of these art forms in a fun and inclusive environment. This class is excellent for beginners who want a taste of each discipline, or for advanced students seeking to become well-rounded performers. 

Throughout the Cambridge Musical Theatre year, each discipline receives a spotlight. Building confidence is a main focus, as Ignite strives to create an encouraging environment for students to approach new challenges. Content is adjusted to suit the abilities and age levels of class participants, growing in difficulty as students get older. No prior experience is necessary.

Students will learn acting skills such as vocal projection, characterization and other techniques derived from the historical Stanislavski method. They will build their singing techniques from the ground up - beginning with posture and breath, moving towards shaping emotional performances to Musical Theatre songs. Then, they’ll dance their hearts out to show tunes with routines that focus on musicality, while combining techniques from Jazz, Contemporary and Hip-Hop.
