SAXOPHONE

Cambridge Saxophone Lessons

Ignite Arts Academy is proud to offer saxophone lessons. The saxophone is a woodwind instrument invented by Adolphe Sax in the 1840s. Although it's made of brass, it is classified as a woodwind because it uses a single-reed mouthpiece, similar to a clarinet. The saxophone has a rich, expressive tone that can sound smooth, jazzy, powerful, or soulful. It fits into many genres—jazz, classical, rock, funk, pop, and even electronic music—offering lots of creative possibilities. It can be both a lead and a support instrument, great for soloing or blending in ensembles.

At Ignite Arts Academy, we offer students Cambridge Saxophone Lessons with our instructor Lisa Wilson. Lisa guides students with her creative and flexible approach, tailoring lessons to suit each individual. She strives to share her love of music and encourages students of all abilities to realise their full potential as musicians, encouraging them to be risk-takers and constantly seeking progress.

Lisa teaches in duets or in individual lessons with students 8 years to adults of any age.

During lessons, students will develop the fundamental skills of playing the saxophone, while learning to play with fluency and having fun.
